Teaming with Wildlife
Teaming with Wildlife is a coalition of organizations working to prevent wildlife from becoming further endangered. Climate Change will only add to the risks already confronting our native species. We must begin, now, to meet the challenge.
Join us today! It is just that important and it is just that easy.
Teaming with Wildlife supports:
• Improving the leadership of state fish and wildlife agencies by advocating for fish and wildlife conservation and promoting cooperation among fish and wildlife agencies.
• Teaming with Wildlife builds support for Florida’s Wildlife Action Plan (an important framework for dealing with impacts to wildlife from Climate Change) and other state wildlife conservation programs.
• Identifying and promoting opportunities for state fish and wildlife agencies to collaborate with partners on implementation of the state wildlife action plan.
There are more than 160 Teaming with Wildlife Coalition members on the Florida Team today. Through their efforts, Florida has secured nearly $23 million dollars in wildlife protection funding. In 2009, Congress is poised to pass meaningful legislation to curb greenhouse gases and mitigate the impacts of Climate Change. Now, through efforts like Teaming with Wildlife, we can help guide that debate.
